New Partnership With Railway Gardens
Railway Gardens is a brand-new space in Cardiff, UK, which invites people to come together, make new friends, share skills, and develop ideas. It’s owned and run by Green Squirrel, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that empowers individuals and communities to explore solutions and take action on the climate and ecological emergency. The new Railway Gardens site contains a number of facilities that will allow people to live more sustainably, such as a community gardening space and a Library of Things, to facilitate item sharing.
On the theme of sustainability, the team at Railway Gardens is looking to implement renewable energy generation to power their operations. As such, two of the site’s directors, Hannah Garcia and Rebecca Clark, met with Dr John McCrory to discuss the CMST project, at the launch event on the 18th of June 2022. They expressed great interest in the Renewable Energy Guide, which would give them a starting point for the implementation of renewable generation, and agreed to collaborate with the CMST project toward this goal.
